As the dairy world converges in Nigeria for the 2nd international trade show on agriculture, food beverage and packaging technology, be sure to visit our stand where our products will be showcased for the eager local public and overseas visitors.
This gathering has been aptly titled Agrofood Nigeria 2016 and this takes place between 26 -28 April 2016 at the Landmark Convention Centre, Lagos, Nigeria.
This important conference will be attended by more than 90 exhibitors from far away China, USA, UK, Thailand and Australia and will help promote our local dairy industry while providing opportunity for networking with our overseas counterparts and exploring areas of mutual benefits.
As local leaders in the dairy industry, we would be showcasing our latest technologies and packaging expertise, and some of our staff will be making important presentations on food hygiene, food safety, financial management and diversity in dairy beverage production.
This event is about showcasing our local dairy industry while exploring opportunities for greater co-operation with our partners from more advanced economies.
Admission to this event is for industry professionals and local and international investors who would be required to present their invitations for accreditation.
If you will be at this event, please visit our stand on C.6.9, and if you believe you will benefit from or have contributions to make within the industry, please contact us and we can put your case through to the organisers.
To maximise the health benefits of our fresh milk and yummy yoghurt, it is important to ensure that these products are stored correctly and appropriately.
This would enable you maximise the shelf life and get the optimal nutritional benefits.
In order to ensure that the quality and flavour of our products remain the same, please store in the refrigerator at a temperature range of between 3 and 8 degrees C. Please, store these products in the refrigerator as soon as they are purchased as this will help maintain the taste, quality and flavour.
If you are away from refrigerator or you are in a camp, the advice is to store these products in an iced cooler to maintain the recommended storage temperature. Heat doesn't go well with yoghurt and milk as this provides opportunity for contamination by micro-organisms that are unwanted.
In our Nigerian climate, it may be advisable to store your milk in a cool shelf if it is expected to be consumed in no distant time which is often the case for most families.
Try to avoid contaminating your milk or yoghurt with strong smelling products such as fish which may have been purchased together. The odour can cross-contaminate the flavour of your milk or yoghurt.
Once you open your milk and use part of it, please close it and place back in the refrigerator to avoid contamination. Some people freeze their yoghurts and milk, but we do not recommend that as milk and yoghurts are better enjoyed fresh soon after first use to benefit from their wholesome goodness.
